LESSON 5: B3 A.Objectives:

1. Aims:

- Know the more words about the activities at school recess

- Read and understand the the differences between schools in Viet Nam and in the USA

- By the end of the lesson, students will be able read for details about recess activities in an American high school.

2. Practice skill:

- Drill reading comprehension skills

- Practice asking and answering about the most popular activities at recess.

3. The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge:

- Remember the new words in the lesson - Read the text fluently, understand and do the exercies

- Talk about some activities which don’t happen at recess in Viet Nam

+ Advanced knowledge: Do the survey, ask and answer in groups of 3. Report the result before the class

4. Basic language:

- Vocabulary: junior high school, energetic, whole, portable CD player, earphone, mainly, card, common, relax, mostly, worldwide, senior high school.

Phrases: to take part in, to practice, to score a goal, to swap baseball cards with.

- Structure: Review present simple tense.

5. Attitude:

- Educate ss to learn hard and love school and play good things at recess B. Teaching- aids:

Lesson plan, textbooks, pictures, poster.
