1. Knowledge:  By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about someone..

Sentence patterns: Who is that ? It is Mr Loc Vocabulary: who, how, old.

2. Skills: listening ,writing . 3. Attitude:.

1. Organization( 1’) - Greeting

2.Warm up(5’)

Play a spelling game. Spell a specific name. Eg: Q-U-A-N 3. New lesson.

b. While-listening.

Play the recording (twice). Ss listen and tick.

Ss compare with the partner Call some Ss to give their answers

play the recording sentence by sentence for Ss to check their answers.

c. Post listening.

-Have some Ss make a dialogue with the true names in the class.

EX: T: Who’s that?

        S1: It’s Lan.

Activity 4. Read and write. (12’) a.  Pre- writing.

T asks Ss some questions.

 Who are they?

Where are they?

What are they talking about?

A student reads sentences and words  below each picture.

b. While-writing.

Ss look at the pictures  to complete the dialogues.

Ss compare with the partner Ss give their answers.

c. Post writing.

Some pairs  read the dialogues again.

Activity 5. Let’s write (10’) a.  Pre- writing.

T asks Ss to tell the names of  people in the pictures.

EX: It’s Tony.

b. While-writing.

Ss look at the pictures  to fill the gaps.

Ss compare with the partner Ss give their answers.

c. Post writing.

Ask Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer about people in the pictures.

Divide the class into groups.

Activity 2. Point and say (15’) a. Model sentences

T suggests and Ss give the model sentences.

T asks to read in chorus- individual T writes on the board.

T checks the model sentences:  intonation, using T – W – C       H – H       O – P -> C – P c. Practice.

Ask Ss to look at the pictures and tell about students in the pictures.

EX: She is Mary. She is 6 years old.

Activity 6. Let’s sing (9’) Ask Ss to read the song.

Whole class listen to the song and sing each line of the rhythm.

Have class sing the song again Divide the class in 2 groups

Call on one group to perform the song at the front of the class.

Ss point to word  six and repeat a few times.

Ss point to the sentence  I’m six years old,  repeat a few times.

Whole class read the sounds, words and sentences again.

Ss find words with sounds of  f,s EX: fix, four, fif, sound, sit, see, Activity 2. Listen and write. (8’) a. Pre-listening

T asks Ss some questions.

How many sentences are there?

Call some Ss to read the text.

Ask Ss to guess the words to fill the gaps.

T models.

Play the recording 2 times for Ss to listen and write to complete the sentences.

Compare the answers with the partner.     

Ask Ss to give their answers and teacher plays  the recording again Ss check their answers.

Ask Ss to read aloud the completed sentences.

Introduce the Chant.

Ss read the chant

Playing the recording for Ss to repeat.

Ss chant in groups: one chants the questions and the other chants the answers. (swap) The Ss chant and do the action.

Teacher reinforce their pronunciation

* T encourages Ss to substitude the Names  and chant again.
