Lesson 3 : A

A. Objectives:

1. Aims: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to use the simple present tense with Yes / No Questions and short answers to talk about everyday actions.

2. Practice skill: Practice listening skill,writing, speaking skill. reading skill.

3. Needing to get the knowledge:.

+ Standard knowledge: ask and answer about activities after school.

+ Advanced knowledge: ask and answer about Ss’ activities after school.

4. Basic language:

*Vocabulary: listen to music, watch TV, read ... play soccer/ volley ball.

- Trợ động từ do – does.

* Language focus: Does she play soccer? - Yes, she does./ No, she doesn't.

Do you play soccer? - Yes, I do./ No, I don't.

5. Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to use the simple present tense with Yes / No Questions and short answers to talk about daily routines.

B. Teaching- aids:

1. Teacher: Text-book, workbook, lesson plan, radio , projector ...

2. Students: Text-books, notebooks, workbooks...

C. Methods:

- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work.

- Some techniques can be used: what and where, find someone who.

+ Shows the picture on P.54 and says.

This is Ba and this is Lan. They are talking to each other Ba wants to know what Lan and their friends do after school. Now, listen to me tell me what they do after school.

- Ask Ss to listen to the dialogue(twice) - Ss play the role of Ba and Lan to read again.

- Elicit form the students to give the model sentences

- Ss read the model sentences in chorus, then in pairs

- Concept check:

+Meaning: Ask Ss to translate in to Vietnamese

+ From: Ss give the form

+ Use: When do we use this form?

Activity 2: Practice (12')

- Ask Ss to read the dialogue again and complete the table

- Ss work in pairs to do

A. The objectives:

1. Aims: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to read a piture story about Ba daily routine to practice simple present tense.

2. Practice skill: - Practice listening skill,writing, speaking skill. reading skill.

3. The knowledge needs to get:.

+ Standard knowledge: time, simple present tense, daily routine.

+ Advanced knowledge: Tell the other ss’ rountine.

4. Basic language:

*Vocabulary: take a shower, eat a big breakfast, have classes, from ...to, a quater to/ past/ half, go to bed, start >< finish.

* Language focus: at, from ... to.

- Change: I --> Ba "His name's Ba. He gets up..."

5. Attitude: Help ss to have good consciousness in order to read a piture story about Ba’s daily routine to practice simple present tense.

B. Preparations:

1/ Teacher: Text-book, lesson plan , picture , poster ...

2/Students: Text-books, notebooks, workbooks...

- Call on one students to read all statements in order

- Get Ss to play attention to the notes + Complete the table

- Ask Ss to read the text gain then complete the table in Ex2/p.57
