I. Objectives 1. Knowledge:

By the end of lesson pupils will be able to read and complete, write and project follow theme.

3. Attitude: Students are interested in finding words containing “s”, “sw”

sounds

B. Warm up (4’)

Spend a few munites revising the previous lesson by getting Ps to do a

dictation. T can choose some sentences learnt in the previous lessons.( eg: Our school is Nguyen Hue Primary school. It is in Nguyen Hue Street in Ha Noi. We are in Class 4C. ) Follow the procedure in Activities Bank in Introduction.

C. New lesson:

*Activity 4: Read and complete (10’).

- Ask Ss to look at the student card on page 45.

- Set the scence: “ you are going to read the

card to get the information and complete the sentences.”

- Give pupils time to do the task independently.

- Ss do the task independently

- Ask students swap their answers before checking as a class.

- Teacher monitors the activity and offer help when necessary.

- Call on some Ss to report their answers.

- Ask some question about the text to check student’s understand

*Activity 5: Write about your school (10’)

- Let student read aloud the title to clear the task.

- Have Ss work in pairs or groups to disscuss what are they going to write.

- Focus Ss on their names, the address of their school and their class. Check

comprehension.

- Give pupils time to do the task independently. Go around and offer help - Get pupils to swap their answers before checking as a class.

- If there is time, ask one pupil to write the answer on the board.

*Activity 6: Project (8)

- You are going to make a card about your friend’s school and class.

- Prepare resource like scissors, cards, rulers, coloured, pencils and crayons.

- Give each pupil a blank card. Set a time limit for pupils to decorate their cards.

- Ask pupils to write on the cards.

- Go around and helf Ss do the task - Call some Ss display before the class.

* Activity: Dialogue Musical Chairs - T devides Ss in to groups( group of 10) - T explains how to play this game - T lets the groups play togtether - T monitors

- T asks Ss to open their book on page 46 and look at the picture.

- Get pupils to read the title of the unit and elicit their answers such as:

Ask pupils to identify the people in the picture and elicit their answers such as:

What do you like best? Do you often it in free time?

- Ss listen and answer

- Praise pupils if they give a correct answer. Then ask pupils to discuss what is happening in each picture.

- T tells Ss that they are going to look at the dialogue, listen to the recording and repeat the dialogue.

- T plays the recording through for Ss to listen to the dialogue.

- Ss: listen and point

- T plays the recording again, pausing after each line for Ss to repeat.

- Ss: listen and read in chorus( 2 times) - T - Ss role play.

- T-Ss, Ss- T, half- half, open pairs

- T checks to make sure Ss can repeat and understand the dialogue.
